ANDY’S TAKE : 8/10

This one comes in the standard tall white bag with that lip on the back to pull open. As soon as I opened it got a really nice whiff of a fresh grass and citrus scent. The THC content was a trace amount of 0.6% and a CBD level of 14.1%. Pretty decent amount of CBD, a high level I like.

I dumped out the whole bag on my cutting tray and was pleased with what came out. A few really nice strawberry-like buds with some smaller popcorn looking ones. Very little leaf or crumbs, just the expected amount. The buds look great for a straight CBD strain. A lot of dark shades of green with some bright orange mixed in. Really great colour. I also noticed the buds have a nice light sugar coating of trichomes, a fairly impressive look. Again, I was pretty impressed with what I saw! On closer look I spotted patches of very tiny pistols. Almost fuzz like but have a very nice rusty orange colour. The buds themselves are firm and feel dense when squeezed. Though the buds felt a little dry there were no flakes or crumbling when handling the buds. 

Milling my Pure Sun CBD buds were no problem, they ground up nicely into a pile that was a fair grind, not too coarse or powdery. No leaf, stem or seeds found after I ground it up. The colour really brightened up, the green wasn’t as dark as it was before I ground it up. Even the scent changed. When I first opened the bag a fresh grass and citrus scent was noted, after it went through the grinder I found it had a more cheesy smell than grass. Still had that nice citrus scent too.

CBD strains are very often my wake n’ bake go to. I find it really takes away that morning mind fogginess I experience. Waking up a bit on the nauseous side is a regular thing for me, along with long lasting grogginess. CBD really clears that up for me. I find a strong THC strain first thing when I wake up can often add to my nauseous feeling, and THC:CBD strains tend to burn me out very quickly which is not ideal for the start of the day. CBD strains are just right to get me moving!

Had a big bright green and orange bowl out of a chilled water bong. I lit it with a hemp wick, a flame straight out of a lighter can give it a gross taste and inhaling lighter fluid sucks! The bowl of weed burned smooth and evenly. The smoke brewed up thick and slightly off white. I found it to be smooth on the inhale/exhale and had a sweet earthy taste on both also. Light on the chest but a little scratchy on the throat. Easy to smoke, very little coughing after I exhaled.

Right after I exhaled I immediately felt the effects. Cleared my head right up. It’s not like getting high off THC, but it definitely gave me a great feeling. It’s like waking up with spins and then having them suddenly stop. What a great feeling. After two tokes I was feeling very happy and relaxed along with a great uplifting attitude. Though I was left with a nice body buzz afterwards it wasn’t sedating at all. That feeling of clarity stuck around with me long after I finished my session.

Left behind in the bowl after I burned all my CBD weed away was a pile of light gray ash. No black specks in the ash at all and some really white spots were seen as well. This cannabis was clean and flushed.

After looking into what strain Pure Sun CBD could be, it seems as though it’s the famous Cannatonic strain. An often standard one found on the CBD rooster in the legal market. This bag of buds made me happy, cleared up my morning spins, and perked me up big time! Perfect for wake n’ bakes. I am very pleased with this strain!
