MMMosa Review
Vik’s Take on MMMosa by Wink!!
Back in April 2020, when I first started buying legal weed from the OCS website, I bought some Wink MMMOSA without knowing anything about it. It seemed like an OK gamble at just over $10/g for a 3.5. I think I might have read something about the strain online and decided to take a shot. Here goes nothing, right? When I got it, I remember having a great time with the “unboxing” experience, and I thought it was a great daytime buzz. Note to self – I dig this strain! Unfortunately, I was only able to find Wink MMMOSA on the OCS one more time in summer 2020, and it subsequently disappeared forever (or so it seemed) from the OCS. Major bummer!
Fast-forward to April 2021, and MMMOSA makes it long-awaited (for me a least) return, like a champion coming out of retirement. I was genuinely excited to try the new batch, so I picked up a 3.5 at my local B&M in Hamilton. And then I rushed home like a kid with a new toy to unwrap 😉
First, let’s talk about the packaging. For some reason, Wink has stuck with the larger-than-needed plastic containers, while their Wedding Cake strain has instead been coming in resealable, flat bags like so many other brands are using now. Not sure why they stuck with this package for MMMOSA? In any case, space economy aside, it’s not really a knock on the product or the experience. Just a strange decision by Wink to hold onto this legacy packaging.
I opened my MMMOSA and took a nice big whiff. Bam! Instantly got hit by a Tangerine Dream kind of vibe. Wink calls this strain “Tutti Frutti”, a hybrid strain crossing Clementine and Purple Punch. I can see the similarities 100%. For me, it’s basically like what I imagine it smells like when you accidentally fall into the fruit vat at the Five Alive factory. Super juicy. So far, my new “first impression” is even better than how I remembered it!
Let’s talk about the buds. As you can see from the pictures, this is a very visually-pleasing product 👌 Bright-green leaves, frosty, hairy, caked buds with a nice mix of deep purple in there with the red-hairs and snowy trichomes. Dense buds too. I love that they include the Boveda pack in there, that’s a great touch by Wink. No popcorn buds. Just quality stuff!
How was the smoke, you ask? I’d say this is one of the tastiest smokes on the market. I’d compare it to a Pedro’s or maybe Noisy Neighbor type of experience, where you kind of want to smoke it continuously, one joint after another because of how delightful the taste is. It’s one of those strains that tastes just like it smells, so expect a very juicy, citrusy type of smoke. Really enjoyable!
Finally, the high. I would say this is maybe the only thing that some people might “knock”, depending on their experience level and whether they wanted to get “stupid” high or not. MMMOSA is a 21.6% THC strain, and it hits like a sativa, which for me is a perfect daytime buzz that allows me to continue with life feeling like a million bucks. I’m a super analytical person and I find myself feeling like I’m ready to solve any problems in life, whether they be simple maths, imagineering my basement renovation, or attempting to solve my wife’s personal issues with her coworkers. MMMOSA has me ready to kick ass with a sharp mind 👍
Overall, I’m giving Wink MMMOSA a 9/10, only because the high isn’t a “kapow” for people looking for a smack in the face. But if you want a daily smoker that is absolutely delicious, add this beauty to your bag of tricks! You won’t be disappointed.
