Sense (Sour Kush) Review
Andy’s Review on Sense (Sour Kush) by Solei 1g

It is so nice to finally see one-gram sizes of weed in simple packaging! Just a bag is all that it’s in. I have purchased quite a few single grams that came in an oversized cup with a thick plastic or metal lid, that all together comes in a box as well! So wasteful with packaging. Not the case with the gram of Sense by Solei I bought. A small bag with a tear away top and a pinch n’ twist zipper lock. Very Little packaging and easy to put in my pocket.
One thing I noticed was that it felt dry through the bag, but when I opened it and poured it out onto the cutting board it didn’t seem as dry as I thought it was going to be.
Actually, it looked like a pretty large amount for a gram, I almost wish I weighed it to see if it was over a gram because it looked like more. For the price and when I got a real look at it, I was fairly pleased with it so far. The scent of the buds was like a peppery, lemon, floral fragrance. There was one big bud, 3 popcorn buds, and bit of weed crumbs most likely from the buds rubbing together during its journey from the producer to the O.C.S. to Hamilton Cannabis Co. I found nothing at all bad with what I got other than it was a little on the drier side, I was happy with this purchase. The buds themselves had some small bits of leaf here and there, fortunately not too much. This flower looked dark green in colour with a few orange hairs curling out from its lightly dusted trichome surface. It ground up very easily with no resistance from the bud when using a palm grinder to mill up the whole gram. When I dumped it all out it looked course but when feeling it, I noticed I could pinch it into dust if I wanted to. There wasn’t any change to the colour or scent after milling it up but looked good to me. Also, no sighting of any stems or seeds anywhere in the pile.
I packed a decent sized bowl of Solei Sense to haul on for a bong and when lit the bowl burned evenly, I didn’t have to hold the flame over it long to get it started. The smoke was light in appearance and had a cream colour to it. The first inhale was smooth and found it had a piney flavor among a traditional cannabis taste. The exhale was similar but instead of that cannabis taste, it was replaced with that dank earthy taste like smoking a roach. Not a bad thing as it was also smooth exhaling, I didn’t really get any cough from it or tight smothered lung feeling. Good buzz too! It started slowly in the head and worked its way all over everywhere. I’m pretty sure my couch felt high too though it was a huge bowl of it I smoked in one haul so I most likely was just extra baked.
When I was finally ready to pack the second half of the gram pile, I noticed that the ash left over in the bowl was really white. That was pleasing to see, it makes me feel that the product I smoked was clean of any unwanted substances and mineral content in the cannabis. I really liked my experience with Sense by Solei which after looking into it turns out to be an existing strain known as Sour Kush. I’m sure you all heard of that strain at some point. If I could someday, I’d really like to try smoking this out of a vaporizer like the Volcano by Storz & Bickle.
