Rio Bravo Review
Andy’s Take on Rio Bravo by Edison Cannabis Co. 3.5g
Sativa 18.2 % THC
8.5/10
This was the first time I’ve ever tried this strain. I know the legal market tends to change the names of pre-existing strains so I did a quick internet search of Rio Bravo by Edison Cannabis Co. and found out it’s also known as a strain called Wabanaki. Wabanaki is also grown by Edison so for all I know this could be an original cultivar by them, but that’s just a guess. The bottle it comes in was interesting, it wasn’t like most kind that have that annoying push and twist child-proof (more like open-proof) lid that just spins and makes a grinding noise. This was a simple press and twist lid that was very easy to open and makes a ‘click’ sound when closed.
When I opened the lid and peeled off the seal, I was happily surprised to see a Boost humidifier pack tossed in. An Edison Cannabis Co. branded Boost pack actually! Why can’t ALL cannabis packages come with some kind of a moisture pack? Big points for Edison Cannabis Co. Aside from the Boost pack I also noticed the sweet smell of Rio Bravo! Like a mix of very sweet fruits. I could not wait to smoke this! The buds themselves were the typical “popcorn” looking buds. Some were small, some were bigger, either way not bad. The buds didn’t look like bunk, no leaves, seeds or stems all over, they looked nice! Some bright greens and a lot of orange hued trichomes dusted all over. Some dark rusty pistol hairs here and there as well. Even though the buds felt firm when squeezed, they ground up very easily into a course chunky pile. Rio Bravo fluffs up nicely after grinding. the pile looked bigger than I thought it would grind into. The colour really brightened up as well, it now was a greenish-golden looking colour, even more sweet smelling also!
Enjoyed this from a bong; it brewed a thick, creamy looking smoke. As thick as the smoke appeared it was surprisingly smooth on both inhale and exhale. Going in it had a mild fruity taste, with the same but a little more res tasting on the way out. No cough at all for me, I found it to be very smooth to smoke. Being sativa, the buzz goes right to your head, no body buzz at all from this stuff. Rio Bravo was very uplifting, it made me have an enthusiastic feeling though I wasn’t planning on doing anything prior to that. It was so smooth, so tasty, I could easily continuously smoke this all day. I’d be wrecked at least I wouldn’t feel lung smothered due to its smoothness. I thoroughly enjoyed smoking this strain, and the packaging it comes in was great too! I’m looking forward to trying other strains from Edison Cannabis Co.
